LAEV The Ship
Interior designer Aet Piel designed an apartment in a ship-shaped building in Tallinn, Estonia. It has a parabolic floor plan and glass facades on three sides. The mesmerizing views are complemented with a minimalistic and monochromatic interior. The idea was to emphasize the fantastic Nordic sea views from one side, unique Old Town views from the front and view to the woods from the other side by allowing the light flow freely throughout the apartment.
The bathroom has an electronically controlled glass wall, making in possible to enjoy the view to the sea. To achieve the impression of spaciousness and to conduct the light into the darker areas, the steam sauna has glass walls, the master bedroom has sliding doors and large glass panes.
The characteristics of this apartment are minimalistic and monochromatic design, emphasizing the materials, innovative solutions and bigger forms.
