The elongated rectangular plan of the store hosts the manufacturing, storage and distribution of natural handmade soaps in Alexandroupolis. The particular dimensions of the store and the created impression of corridors, intensify the feeling of a “laundry room” that was something usual in houses of the 50s and 60s in Greece. The conservation of the mosaic and the use of materials like the forced cement, the plywood and the ceramic tiles enhance the “laundry room” feeling. Two main functional spaces, one of the sales and the other of production, interacting with each other so that it is clear to the consumer the soap manufacturing process. The ripple of a wall directs the costumer inside the store while enhancing the requirements of the products display. Opposite, the partner wall is reinforced with working levels and adjustable rectangular shape shelves providing extra space for the display and classification of products.
