MUSEO PERMANENTE OM STILL | General Planning

La Società OM Still nata nel 2011 dalla fusione tra OM e il gruppo tedesco STILL, tra i principali produttori a livello europeo di carrelli elevatori, ha deciso di investire nel rinnovamento e nel potenziamento del suo quartier generale di Lainate. In occasione dell’anno del suo centenario la Società ha commissionato a General Planning la realizzazione di un Museo Permanente dedicato al marchio OM. Il percorso espositivo si snoda lungo un corridoio in cui è stata allestita una Time Line che, attraverso immagini, testimonianze fotografiche e documenti racconta la storia della Società dalla nascita avvenuta nel 1917 fino ai giorni nostri. All’interno dello spazio museale trovano posto anche alcuni tra i macchinari più venduti dello storico marchio OM, inoltre sono state allestiti dei video di presentazione dei prodotti che vengono proiettati a parete. Sulle pareti gigantografie di immagini storiche del gruppo OM fanno da scenario all’allestimento. L’ ingresso all’edificio e al percorso espositivo è  evidenziato da una struttura metallica aggettante dello stesso colore del logo OM Still che invita i visitatori ad entrare.

The OM Still Company, founded in 2011 by the fusion between OM and the German group STILL, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of forklift trucks, has decided to invest in the renewal and expansion of its headquarters in Lainate. On the occasion of its centenary, the Company commissioned General Planning to build a permanent museum dedicated to the OM brand and the creation of entrance and reception areas. The exhibition runs along a corridor where a Time Line has been set up, through images, photographic records and documents that tells the story of the Society from birth in 1917 to the present day. Within the museum space there are also some of the best-selling machines of the historic OM brand, as well as video presentation of products that are projected on the wall. On the walls there are OM’s historical images, they are a scenery for the layout. The entrance to the building and the exhibition path is highlighted by a metal structure projecting the same color as the OM Still logo that invites visitors to enter.
