Located in a typical residential area on a tilted hillside overlooking the mountains, this project leveraged the property’s assets opening itself towards the rear view. From the street, the only visible volume is the social area, turning the ground floor into a perfectly private space. The living room, dining room, study, kitchen and outdoor social area were combined in a single space framed by a floor-to-ceiling door wall which opens completely revealing unobstructed mountain views. The master bedroom was also designed as a unique set of fluid spaces. There are no doors between the bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet. Certainly, they are all exposed to the mountain views and the pool, which mirrors the house’s length.

Natural lighting is the star in this home and artificial lighting is just another material that aligns with every aspect of the project.

The simple choice of materials, together with a stone base, exposed concrete and pure volume, was another strategy to keep the design in tune with the site and the environment.

Consequently, this house is the creation of a livable space that promotes a simple, minimalist, flexible and diverse lifestyle.

Situada en una ladera inclinada con vistas a las montañas en un vecindario residencial típico, este proyecto aprovechó los activos de la propiedad abriéndose hacia su vista trasera. Desde la calle, solamente se distingue un único volumen, siendo este el sector social y haciendo de la planta baja un sector meramente privado. Sala de estar, comedor, escritorio, cocina y sector social exterior se combinaron en un espacio común que está enmarcado por una abertura de piso a techo que se abre completamente, revelando vistas ininterrumpidas a las montañas. El dormitorio principal también se diseñó como un único conjunto de espacios fluidos. Dormitorio, baño y vestidor no tienen puertas que los separan y por supuesto están abiertos a la vista de las montañas, seguidas de la piscina que copia el largo de la vivienda.

La iluminación natural es protagonista en esta vivienda, siendo la iluminación artificial un material más que entra en sintonía con todas las partes que intervienen en el proyecto.

La simple paleta de materiales con un basamento de piedra, un desarrollo en hormigón visto y un volumen puro fue otra estrategia para mantener la arquitectura enfocada en el sitio y el lugar.

En consecuencia, esta casa es la creación de un espacio habitable que invita a un estilo de vida sencillo, minimalista, flexible y diverso.
