The challenge of this project was to intervene on a recently opened café-bar with almost-new furnishings to be preserved, penalized by a serial distribution layout and large impersonal spaces. The urgent theme was therefore to create an atmosphere: welcoming, pleasant and intimate, inviting those who are looking for a break to linger.

The overall concept was inspired by pastel color palettes, summer pergolas, party lights, the rigor of Nordic aesthetics. The color green is the background to the different areas identified by the new layout and runs through the continuous perimeter of the interior walls just like a ribbon, enveloping everything that it meets.

On the ceiling, a thin brass frame punctuates the depth of the main room and illuminates it with a cascade of lights intertwined with Canadian vine branches and green leaves. Same for the counter of the cafeteria area.

La sfida di questo progetto è stata intervenire in un locale caffetteria di recente apertura con arredi pressoché nuovi da preservare, ma penalizzato da un layout distributivo seriale e ampi spazi impersonali. Il tema urgente era dunque creare un’atmosfera: accogliente, piacevole e intima che invitasse a soffermarsi chi è in cerca di una pausa.

Il concept generale è stato ispirato dalle palette di colori pastello, dai pergolati estivi, dalle luci delle feste, dal rigore dell’estetica nordica. Il colore verde fa da sfondo alle differenti aree individuate dal nuovo layout e, come un nastro, percorre il perimetro continuo delle pareti interne, avvolgendo tutto ciò che incontra.

A soffitto, un sottile telaio in ottone scandisce la profondità della sala maggiore e la illumina con una cascata di luci, intrecciate a rami di vite canadese e foglie verdi. Allo stesso modo il bancone della zona caffetteria.
