Couverture & The Garbstore is a cult lifestyle destination store in London’s Notting Hill. AMA were appointed to redesign select areas throughout the store.

Retaining a strong brand identity was key to the final look and feel of the project. AMA worked closely with the client to develop a bespoke Okoume plywood display system alongside mirrored walls to enhance the sense of space. Plywood benches are used for extra storage as well as to exhibit key fashion items. Installed on the ground floor is the same bespoke garment display system however to subtlety reflect the style change of the women collection, AMA used brass as the main material to wrap the profile of the pegs and shelves.

The kitchen and storage areas located in the basement were also refurbished. A geometric grid of classic white square tiles with black grout was used to punctuate space in the kitchen and bathroom areas; whilst linear shapes and subtle colours were added to give depth and reinforce the brand aesthetic.
