We designed a kitchen in 20th century tenement in the center of Wrocław. The apartment is settled by a family that spend a lot of time in kitchen and dining area. A large timber door with sidelights and transom divides the space into two independent rooms but doesn't affect the possibility of using both spaces simultaneously anyhow. The door opening frames the proposed dark and moody kitchen that contrasts with light interior of dining and living areas.
Our goal was to design a kitchen that is perceived as a framed artwork complementing the flat interior and to play with the users senses to create the exceptional mood.
