Split Lviv Restaurant is part of a larger group, Split Lviv Club, its premises in a 1900s
building in the heart of historical Lviv. From its inception in 2006, Club’s vision has been to
establish a place that awakens its guests’ senses, offers them a fusion of contrasts, and
creates versatile solutions to their entertainment requests.
Fusion restaurant Split, designed by replus design bureau, is an exquisite modern interior
with Asian character. The highlight of the establishment is Oriental cuisine with its
signature-recipe dishes prepared by the master chef Roman Schurok.
The project was realized in such a way that its guests would not only enjoy the atmosphere
of a real restaurant, but could also witness the process of cooking!
The original Austrian floor plan provided for a wide quiet corridor where guests can relax
on small sofas, visit wine bar ….( Or watch their meals being cooked)?
Fusion restaurant Split surprises its guests with a huge fish tank with sea creatures
including lobsters that can be cooked for them, an exquisite selection in the wine bar, open
kitchen and kalian room.
The focus of the interior is a large circular bar.
Club’s idea of fusion was delivered through introduction of a variety of textures, forms and
colors inspired by different epochs, which in turn created a masterful harmony in eclectic
Architectural elements in the Old and Original provide a wonderful background for the New
and Modern: centuries-old design of the parquet floor, classical-style doorway frames, walls
with raised molding and exposed brickwork, - these elements outline and beautifully offset
the chrome of a modern circular bar bathing in neon lights, decorative metal ornaments,
and large glass panes.
The styles of the light fixtures range from Orient-inspired to urban minimalistic. The
furniture is a mixture of sleek modern silhouettes and heavy forms of tufted sofas in classic
style. Overall, designers’ choice of ‘restrained eclectic’ created a unique atmosphere for the
Club’s vision of fusion to work in the new restaurant.
In addition to tangible elements of the interior, designers are using lights and music that
transform the space and to awaken the senses of its guests. The restaurant can be warm or
cold; flooded with red, blue or purple hues… the colors can be subtle or bold, the music -
loud or soft. The senses will arouse to colors and sounds, to tastes of the food and
gentleness of the wine – ensuring that Club’s ideas continue to work.
The lounge is designed to sit up to 160 guests at tables or entertain 300 people in a buffet
setting. However, the architects anticipated the need for smaller spaces to suit a variety of
requests, from corporate parties to birthdays to conferences, - and offered their solution.
Within minutes, the lounge can be transformed into a dozen banquet-hall configurations
with the help of cleverly designed live-plant partitions or more solid dividers. In addition,
parts of the lounge can become a photo zone, a dance floor or a stage, providing a solution
to every particular request, and ensuring that Club’s vision is realized.
