Located in Shibuya, one of the most fashionable districts in Tokyo, the beauty salon ‘Gallica’ was created as a monotone contemporary space. The large white spaces of the principal areas of the salon are lit by natural sunlight from large windows. By way of contrast, the lighting in other rooms of the salon has been reduced to create a more relaxing environment, as a personal touch the introduction of book shelves on the walls of the salon confirms the private space of the guest similar to library.
