The Juan Sebastian Bar, in number 7 of easo street, is one of the most emblematic bars of the city. It was designed by Enrique Sarabia in 1977 and still retained, although a bit distorted and only inside, that atmosphere from the seventies mixed with a strange Mediterranean aroma.

We decided that the Juan Sebastian Bar should not be redesigned, but recovered. The element that most suffered the passing of time was the façade, deplorably modified.

Large letters of pine wood with the acronym of the bar cover the new façade, winking at the original design. The letters incorporate a removable bench and shelf that are dismantled when closing.

The letters light up when the bar turns into night mode.

Inside, our intervention focused on eliminating objects and additions to recover the original project. In the background, we designed the end of the counter, a shelf and a bench that follow the lines marked by Enrique Sarabia and rounds off the space.
