Wintec is in a phase of change to embrace new and authentic opportunities for learning. This proposal responds to new and emerging pedagogical practice to create a learning building that flexibly accommodates new types of learning.

The project provides an opportunity to stitch the Wintec Campus from North to South via a generous pedestrian spine that builds upon the foundational master plan idea. This spine connects a sequence of new and existing open spaces with a variety of uses and amenity.

Beginning at the top of the campus, the ground level steps down the site in a series of gently sloped ramps within a triple height void space. Adjacent these ramps are a variety of opportunities for social and informal learning. Including seating plinths, bay windows, long benches and loose furniture.

A new terraced upper boulevard provides complementary outdoor space closely connected to the existing central quad. At the campus edge, the building forms a new iconic presence on the corner of Collingwood and Anglesea Street.
