YOUNG ARCHITECT COMPETITION-LIGHTHOUSE SEA HOTEL

Located in a protected area, the project provide a resort that offers a peaceful retreat in a savage coastal landscape. Framing the surrounding jagged rocks and the lighthouse skyline, the buildings are collocated along a path that connects the different functions of the resort making the lighthouse the central focus of the project.

The project is designed from the desire to leave as much as possible untouched the existing natural reserve. The design concept was born from the lighthouse skyline seen from the arrival path to the reserve. The jagged line of the coast with the lighthouse issue in the sklyline composure and becomes a landmark of the landscape. The new volumes with the straight lines fit into the skyline, lying inside the edge of the existing volumes , keeping the lighthouse as an element of centrality that is predominant in the landscape. A new path enter the project, perpendicular to the arrival path, bounding the lighthouse and the new volumes. This promenade provides a connection between the different functions of the resort , the lighthouse and the sea . The wild character of the coast come up against the pure volumes and clean lines of the new volumes , that preserve the shades of colors and local materials.
