The idea for the creation of the scissorlamp was born in a restaurant in the old Hanseatic and imperial city of Tangermünde on the Elbe River. We noticed an old lamp model of the 50’s hanging on the wall that inspired artist Patrick Timm to enhance its design. Already a few years back he had built a scissor-shaped means for transmission in his atelier in Japan. It served to transform citymaps into drawings. For the NOMAD CREW scissorlamp Patrick integrated the shape of Hamburg’s harbor cranes. The porcelain tulip of the Berlin atelier Zukotocha constitutes the pendant lampshade.
