What is special? Presumably it is the combination of modern architecture and traditional hotel elements as well as the outstanding hospitality we offer. In fact a wellknown architectural magazine reported about the latest reconstruction . Didi Rossmann, the architect had the idea to gently transform a ninety year old inn according to the new philosophy “THE NEW SIMPLICITY” into a place where people find pure ease and comfort. He has done this so very well, that yet 25 architecs of the Stuttgart city came to visit the new hotel.

Das ursprüngliche Hotel wurde 1910 errichtet und seither mehrmals umgebaut und erweitert. Der Bestand hatte wesentliche Mängel bezüglich Baurecht, Brandschutz, Energieeffizienz, Ästhetik und Atmosphäre 3 neue Gebäudeteile erweitern nun das Bestandshaus: - der Zimmertrakt wurde ab dem 1.Obergeschoss abgebrochen und neu errichtet - auf einem bestehenden Nebenhaus wurde der neue Wellnessbereich errichtet - das Restaurant im Erdgeschoss wurde zum See erweitert, die dort bestehenden Sanitäranlagen im Untergeschoss neu errichtet Zusätzlich fanden einige Umbauarbeiten im Bestand statt in Verbindung mit einem neuen Eingangsbereich. Die 3 neuen Gebäudeteile von aussen als eigenständige Räume ablesbar, erweitern den Bestand in 3 Himmelsrichtungen, und sind jeweils durch grossflächige Verglasungen zum See orientiert. Aus statischen, zeitlichen und ökologischen Kriterien wurden der Zimmertrakt und der Wellnessbereich in Holzbauweise errichtet. Durch den weitgehenden Verzicht auf überflüssige Gestaltung - Klischees, präsentiert sich das Haus jetzt schlicht und unaufdringlich.
