SELVA ARMCHAIR | Anabella Georgi

SELVA is inspired by the diversity, the textures and the depths of the Venezuelan jungle. The design of the chair invites you to discover the forms, transparencies reveal depth, textures reveal diversity and materials reveal identity. SELVA is a call to take care of our nature, our indigenous and our traditions. The textile (Moriche) is made of fiber extracted from the Palm of Moriche in southeastern Venezuela elaborated by the etnia Warao. The Moriche mixed with leather creates a new fabric that works to give structure to the chair. It is the reutilization and transformation of a traditional indigenous material to create a contemporary form. The chrome tube structure is made with a simple shape to give contrast to the rest of the design.
