Capomastro is a multifunctional tray made in copper. The name is a formal and functional synthesis of the designed object. The term refers to the mason’s job, and in particular to “frattazzo”, a tool useful for spreading and smoothing mortar and concrete. The square trowel has a large handle for gripping. We reinterpreted the ancient wisdom of this tool; the handle, while remaining functional, becomes the only “decorative” element of an elegantly minimal composition.
