The project is located in a new development in Lajeado city, a very quiet place with a beautiful view of the landscapes and hills surrounding it. This was decisive in the choice of terrain, where the most important was a high-rise, well-ventilated place (because the high summer temperatures in the city).

Another very important question was the size of the house. We wanted a compact house, without wasting areas and the most important was the communication of the leisure space integrated with the internal part. Thus, the internal part of the house has 105.00m², distributed in the following environments: kitchen, dining, living, social bathroom, cabinet, bedroom and master suite.

Like the dormitories, the social part of the house is fully integrated with the external area through a large rocking cover that is supported by the 7,2m plate coated with porcelain tile that simulates corten steel. This volume gives all the privacy of the kitchen still has a barbecue in the front and the back of the laundry area, laundry, gas, kennel, shower and storage.

We still had care with the ecological part, every external area has an irrigation system with use of the rainwater collected by the green roof that is taken to a cistern, where it is stored and after returning to be used in the toilets and irrigation system of the grass .

Another highlight was the main façade. As the house is relatively small, we wanted the façade to be more imposing and so the option was to work with tall straight foot. The large pvc window has sliding sheets that reach 3m high. The left-hand volume, with independent entrance, is an office where we can work and receive customers.

We brought from the various summer homes in Uruguay references to the project, such as the apparent concrete and the stone used as a mixture mixed with a straight and clean architecture. From there also came the custom and taste for the traditional “parrila”, which we reproduced through an Uruguayan barbecue among the trees that already existed on the land. Beside a vertical garden accommodates plants as well as herbs used in recipe preparation.
