An historic dwelling of the late nineteenth century, former home of the Duke Ferrari, located in the center of a small village on the slopes of the hills of Serre Salentine.

The building consists of only one floor and is characterized by a facade in tuff, which sees the skillful overlapping of different styles. The rooms have kept their original use being the abode historically tied to farming and livestock, as in a masseria.  Noteworthy are the barn on the mezzanine floor and the stables with mangers.

The garden, fully fenced by a high tuff wall, is distributed over several levels bordered by dry stone walls.

The restoration, redevelopment and reuse project, intends to enhance the historic value of the building in order to preserve its architectural uniqueness, its typological and constructive features and its spaces. It intends to divide the dwelling into four apartments of different dimensions and it wants to integrate a wellness center. This is a residence that allows to regain a mental and physical wellness combining vacation and body treatments through the use of pools, massages areas, saunas and Turkish baths, color therapy, also available outdoor surrounded by nature in the large garden/orchard and in full respect of privacy.

The architectural language is rational and contemporary in order to guarantee the preservation of the peculiarities of the existing structures, without altering their appearance and ensuring the integrity and the original beauty of the place.
