HOUSE TWINS | Nedzla Potogija

Houses are located on the hill near Sarajevo’s Old Town. They are placed in a wonderful environment and, at the same time, very close to the city centre. Facing south, they receive a lot of natural light during the day.

Two objects placed together occupy just a portion of the site, leaving a large area for outdoor activities and vegetation. Their proportions, clear lines, simple forms and white colour, make them fit naturally into the surrounding landscape.

Ground floor consists of an open space where living and dining areas are connected, both leading to the big, south-oriented balcony with plenty of sunlight. The whole space is flexible, with furniture defining different areas. From the entrance hall, divided only by the closet, one can access bathroom and the upper floor.

On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, both facing south. One of them is connected to the spare room which can be used as a walk-in closet, living area with extra bed or kid’s room, depending on dweller’s needs.

Bedrooms have mutual bathroom, accessed through the hallway.
