The Illusionary House responds to two key elements: the need for broadening the areas of the property by amplifying the spatial perceptions and the client’s interest of the ocean and sailing.

The result is a project that creates a very special atmosphere. The green wall paper in the living room brings to mind the cockpits of old vessels, while the wall paper of the library (with fake and real books) joined to a mirror, helps to expand the environment creating optical illusions that send you to a dreamlike dimension. The references to boating, like the use of glass, rope, and other nautical features help send you into that dimension as well.

The master bathroom has wood paneling that covers the entire tub and a beautiful wooden frame with moldings that frames the mirror on the sink.

The living room library was created specifically to house the client’s objects like books and images. Attention for detail is in every corner of this house. The end result is a warm and intimate environment but at the same time powerful and expressive.
