The new architectural complex where the tower forms the hinge, welcomes, at both ground floor and first floor, an area dedicated to the restaurant adjoining the lounge area, and an area of service inside of which, in both planes, the kitchen and bathrooms are located. The tower comprises a grill area with a visible kitchen at ground floor, a restaurant hall at first floor and an office at second.

The outdoor spaces were restored thanks to the “green walls” project and horizontal planters giving life to different environments between which there is an area for eating and one dedicated to street food.

The intimate terrace on the first floor qualifies a resulting space through the installation of a wall of water on slabs of corten.
The exaltation of the contrast between ancient and contemporary is re purposed by the use of materials and finishes that are only seemingly opposite each other: an industrial style permeates the furnishings of the restaurant and street food areas, combined with traditional materials like wood, for the counter and fixed furniture. The same tower structure in “X-lam” wood was voluntarily left exposed.
The internal walls of the restaurant consist of alternating enameled stripes of gray and ocher yellow, in a “hiding and postponing” way between bottles and tables, wall lights and suspensions hanging from adjustable arms, that oscillat¬ing, look like they are colliding on the imposing counter.
The final result is a warm environment, intimate and welcoming, which invites guests to stop by.
The coating in corten steel of the tower is juxtaposed with ocher yellow plaster indicating the new enlargement from the rest of the preexisting building. The floor’s warm colors spread like an elegant carpet across all the area, to then gradually transform into colder colors to decisive character in proximity to the internal spaces, both in grés produced by the Company Kronos.
The grill area is covered by pearl colored ceramics, with the shape of diamonds, while in various parts of the toilets there are some hand painted glazed ceramics, produced by the Company Bardelli.

All environments of service, from the kitchens to the bathrooms, were intently projected in their both functional and aesthetic design, with innovative materials to create a stimulating environment for the creation of food.

On the website of Macello Restaurant you can find other striking images of the spaces dedicated to the guests and of dishes on the menu.
