Dora Park - Ingest Area | Agostino Magnaghi

The Ingest area, with its 47000 square meters, is the smallest lot Dora Park. The design of this batch of Park is characterized by a succession of zones with different functions and configurations: areas arranged in lawn, wooded areas, areas equipped for the game or for sport, flower beds and a water garden with deep tubs and water channels in movement.

The latter is accomplished using large footings and foundation structures in the concrete of the Fiat mills that occupied the area before processing.

The outer walls of the former service shed define a "Hortus Conclusus", a sheltered garden that receives particular plant species.

The building, on two floors, develops longitudinally along Via Nole with a brick front face to the scanning interrupted regular view by large openings.

Of the original structure are maintained the perimeter walls and the warping of reinforced concrete cover and the intermediate floor; the windows are replaced by grids that enable the vision from the outside of the plant species that make up the "Hortus Conclusus".
