Nahdi Medical Company is the largest retail pharmacy chain in the Middle East and North Africa. Our studio, in collaboration with Inea srl, has elaborated for them a concept design for a building in the center of Jeddah. the construction include 4 stories: a ground floor for the pharmacy and three floors for a medical center.
The design has focused mainly on tow issues:
- the integration of the building in the surrounding contest by the requalification of the adjacent piazza;
- the creation of an iconic building which reflect the commercial strength of the company.
An outer transparent shell made of structural glass contain an inner building (the medical center) clad with colorful triangles reflecting the logo of the company.
e special attention has been given to the entrance of the building which reflect the idea of healthy environment by the use of greenery, fountain and natural light.
