Leonardo Palace
An oil color that evens the mass and illuminates the acid colors of the lodges. Turin / Italy / 2002
Office building structured in order to benefit the most advanced technological and computer equipment. The more than 14,000 square meters, of the floor are contained in a cube, a prefabricated structure, of 61 meters on each side, arranged in four octagonal bodies of 15 meters thick.
Inside, a glass courtyard developed in 850 square meters of space, communicating with the outside through a single cut of 6.30 meters wide. The monolithic block opens into a single slit, of which tend walkways that reduce the mass open, from here you enter the courtyard.
The lighting design helps to enhance the project idea; night darkens the entire surface outside the building; illuminating with powerful colored lamps the only lodges that seem to float in the darkness of a dark mass.
