Van Gogh | Trattopunto

Van Gogh restaurant and pizzeria is situated in the historical centre of the famous city of Sassi, Matera.

The interior design is a Trattopunto’s project.

The restoration work consists of the restyling of the previous pizzeria.

The owners expressed the will to create a refined and welcoming place: on the base of this idea, the designers realized a comfortable atmosphere characterized by warm shade of dove grey.

The old floor has been replaced by a rough oak essence parquet.

In the entrance area, a coffee and a kitchen zone have been placed, both covered with a boiserie with wooden thin frames.

As in ancient inns, the kitchen is in view in order to keep a direct contact with customers.

The lighting of the rooms has been thought favouring a diffused and soft effect.

The only visible lighting object is an hanging organic shaped lamp (Pètale di Luceplan) made with a soundproof panel upholstered by a white textile, in order to improve the acoustic comfort in the location.

The chairs are made of white metal enamelled Tolix.
