Tasty Shock is a self-service ice-cream shop and a Trattopunto’s project.

It is situated in the historical centre of Matera.

The restoration project springs from a brilliant business idea of the owners: the self-service ice- cream.

The space has been designed in order to enhance the amusing, fresh and pleasant experience of the hand made self-service ice-cream: the fruition of the ice-cream shop is circular, so conceived in order to go along the customer while he’s preparing his personal ice-cream and, in the meantime, to grant a regular flow.

All steps and passages have been emphasized by enlightening the functional areas which are distinguishable through the use of different raw materials: wood and artificial resin.

The total white continuity of the room is interrupted by the green bottom wall framing the topping dispensers.

The sinuous and curvy furniture is inspired by the organic shape and typical fluid consistency of the ice-cream.

The project is the result of a perfect union of space, function and feeling, all mixed in an holistic and fluid approach to the project design.
