International competition to select designers that will create 5 temporary garden with the theme 'MEDITERRANEAN EXPERIENCES'. The gardens will be created inside a Botanical Park from where they will communicate with other gardens created from famous International garden designers and art works.

CONCEPT:

M³ (Mcube) is the combination of livable experiences in the Mediterranean. It’s seen from one perspective as an unsurmountable barrier, a wall with a closed door from which we can only look out through a keyhole, hoping that one day we can enjoy the wonders beyond it. It’s a xeroscape, a place that’s troublesome to rest in and from which we would like to to escape.
From another side, it’s a thriving and multiform garden: the biodiversity of species (both animal and vegetable) attract and create fertility thanks to the odors and flavors of edible plants. It’s a place dedicated to education, where we can come into contact with nature just as Montessori hoped. It’s Green infrastructure, in the form of a rain garden, that helps to increase resilience of our cities in the face of climate change.
It’s a place that excludes no one, not even those with special needs, because it’s based on the principles of universal design.
It’s therefore a complete user experience that’s going to confront the problems of current geopolitics, of agricultural science, of social inclusion, and of education as well as the problems of urban resilience, all by celebrating the peculiarities of a reality unique to the world.
