The new complex brings together all the activities of the Curia, who had to contend with the risks and hopes that a church urges in particular compared with the city. The Turin complex, for its central location in the area concerned, laid down the fundamental lines of the project idea with the proposed action at strong monumental character.Well as in the diversity of their backgrounds, architect and client were motivated by the desire to offer the city sacred architecture of high artistic value and a place that evokes a strong spiritual meaning.

The Church of the Holy Face has a colossal structure. It is a religious space of over 10,000 square meters, and includes the sacred building, parish offices and a weekday chapel, but also a conference center underground and the new offices of the diocesan Curia and annexes parking. These linear buildings, in three floors, enclosing, also, the space of the churchyard, rebuilding, in this way, a street façade on the long side of the lot. The new church is with a plant a monumental character; strong plastic sign capable of directing the visitor's attention towards a centripetal space; a presence that certainly will not be indifferent to the fabric of the surroundings.
