Alise is an apartment for a young family. My clients are creative and a very charismatic couple. They are professionals in their field who enjoy every aspect of life, whether it is a construction, cooking, travel or work. It was important to create a space that is practical and special in style based on the classics, to fit in some existing decor items.

According to the clients` requirements, the layout and general zoning were changed. For example, a narrow balcony has been enlarged, access to which is now available both from the living area and from the study. A second balcony is also included in the bedroom area, which returns the function of an open balcony due to a sliding window system (wood plus aluminum).

There was also an important requirement that each room should have its own peculiarity, but at the same time did not fall out of the general style of the apartment.

The walls of the living room are white, but "panel" are broken, combining an imperfect and perfectly even texture. Projector screen is an important part of the living-room. Therefore, the side of the room which will be looked at is inactive so that nothing distracts from the screen, in contrast to the opposite, saturated with colors, shapes and textures.

In the center of the composition lies an oriental rug, containing the entire color scheme of the visible premises. This ethnicity is improved by two Moroccan pillows (a gift for a housewarming brought by the designer from Marrakesh). And the visible rooms are the hallway area in Falun red colour. By the way it has the monolith of a large capacious cupboard, which is diluted with a facade-insert that is foreign in style. In fact, this is a single design.

And the kitchen as well. Its walls and ceiling are made in ultramarine color, against their background light gray and gray-beige furniture, wall and floor tiles look beautiful.

The bedroom is almost a "separate state". With reinforced signs of classics on the walls, but again not without it`s chips. For example, the wall behind the head of the bed is in black, which, contrary to the strict classical breakdown of the moldings, seems to have moved out, covering part of the ceiling and parquet. Even the bedside tables seemed to be saturated with this black paint (the designer of the apartment "soaked" it with his own hand). So the bases seem dissolved on a black background and hanging in the air. And of course, the classic unburned Moooi chandelier in support of all this.

Bathroom with a real window, looking into the cabinet. The window is honest aluminum, with a double-glazed window that protects against smell and noise, decorated with different-colored glasses. The cabinet can also serve as a bedroom for guests, for this purpose there is a wardrobe and a sofa bed.

Primarily, the owners of the apartment became my inspiration. And a carpet! Which looks like one from a Soviet childhood (you know it well!), where all patterns were carefully looked at before going to sleep. Initially, there was a requirement to find a similar picture-stylization, but it grew into the fact that such a color scheme served as a starting point. And I also mentioned "cherish items". So, the Georgian carpet on one of the walls in the cabinet is one of such items.

A few words about the equipment. Windows (wood plus aluminum), all woodwork, a window and a sliding system were realized by national craftsmen according to my sketches, with the exception of certain finished pieces of furniture developed by Ukrainian designers. Kitchen and upholstered furniture are also designed by national manufacturer. Finishing materials, radiators, tiles, plumbing, all lighting, tables, chairs, textiles (including upholstery), most of the decor are from European manufacturers.

In general, each item has its own story. Either this is a family story, or something interesting from the project implementation process. There are more than enough of such stories. My clients` involvement in the process has a great importance, so that every detail is understandable and "cherish".

This apartment for me is an example of absolute trust, mutual understanding between team members and interaction between the customer, designer and a foreman.

Alise is a living space where the love is in every square centimeter!
