king st, sydney

heritage office conversion

To house our clients new offices in a heritage listed building on Sydney’s king street a sympathetic response to the existing building fabric was sought to tie in with the adaptive reuse taking place across the site.

We sought a modern interpretation of the existing timber framing to create light filled, flexible spaces that open and close down, tailored to separate modes, catering for one on one meetings, board meetings and social functions alike.

The distilled palette of recycled timber, wired glass and greenery sits harmoniously against the listed timber floors and existing fabric allowing the structure to take precedence.

Unique touches of Integral end of trip facilities, quirky hatches for that DJ session and an inbuilt bar add to the sense of play for staff.
