Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Dubrovnik Sun Gardens is a unique resort on the Adriatic coast, located in Orašac, 11 kilometres from the UNESCO World Heritage city of Dubrovnik. This hotel, located next to the sparkling Adriatic Sea. Built in 2009, this modern resort has established itself as one of the best luxury and conference hotel in Croatia. It consists of hotel with 201 rooms, sports and recreation center, award-winning spa, various restaurants and shops, conference halls at over 1100m2, and 207 fully furnished apartments in a Mediterranean style.

The design and implementation of facilities with emphasis on the interior design and decoration of the hotel, which has produced well-known company specializing in arranging hotel complexes Hirsh Bedner Associates, which led the project to realisation with local engineering companies GAPP ARCHITECTURE, MODULE PROJECT and NNS-EL-ING.

To achieve that architecture and ambiance came to the fore, lighting design was even more demanding.  Beside specific design details, great attention is given and the regulation of lighting, in order to at any time obtain the best effect and best comfort, for the guest to feel more comfortable.

High ceilings and paneled supporting pillars are dominated by main entrance lobby. The primary lighting realized with the round lighting fictures, combined diferent beams of light emissions, in order to create more drama in interior. Also, ceilings dominate niches and cascade suspended ceiling with warm indirect lighting.

Since the project was made at a time when LED technology was exclusively applicable to decorative purposes, except decorative lighting, almost all solutions are designed with traditional lighting sources. It is taken into account that the majority of lighting fictures was dimmable. Designed lighting management system is made with ilight by Cooper Controls, where he covered the complete interior lighting, and outdoor lighting of the hotel.
