1111 Tower is a multi-funcional building that has the ambitious goal of reaching 1111 m in height, becoming the tallest building in the world. The tower, mainly for accommodation and commercial, is characterized by a formal and qualitative innovative research.

The plan uses the rigid geometry of the triangle to ensure stability to the structure: two concave sides and a convex one contain an internal stiffening core that continues along the entire height of the building. The volume wraps around itself twisting the plant but maintaining fixed the internal distribution core. The facade, divided into three fragments, is applied to the building like a second skin and follows the twist with a sinuous movement, accentuated by the shadows generated by the concave and convex surfaces. The three skins are not mutually tangent but, going upwards, run throughout the height of the volume and generate vertical cuts highlighting the slenderness of the tower itself.
The tower follows the principle of “osmotic” architecture that looks for permeable and fluid spaces, characterized by a continuum of relationships between the built and the surrounding environment.
The facade is designed to be as permeable as possible, placing in communication the interior space with the outside. This idea of architecture overtakes the traditional distinction of spaces defined by dichotomous contrasts such as open vs. closed, covered vs. uncovered, internal vs. external. Long vertical corridors creep inside the building, creating green lungs: nature is used as a proper building material.

The functions hosted by the tower are highly differentiated and become more and more “private” rising to the top: at the lower end, there are parking spaces and a large commercial area, followed by directional and receptive, at higher levels a large area entertainment and finally, at the summit, a residential and VIP area. At the top floor, there is an observatory and a rooftop restaurant.
