With Brylla, we are in the heart of the Trieste neighbourhood, another Roman upper class area. Here, in contrast to Bulzoni, the marks of design take over.  The name of the wine bar already reminding you of the inebriation induced by drinking, puts the spotlight on the experience of wine rather than on the wine itself. In Brylla  Strato’s architecture has two souls coexisting, in an intellectual endeavour that is not cold, rather truly creative: there is a convivial soul, defined through a central hall with a cotto-tiled floor and two symmetrical wooden counters; and then there is another more intimate and elegant soul, dominated by a deep blue colour, with a wall decorated with stars, transporting the public to an oneiric level. The textures and materials, the natural larch furniture and the grey iron shelves recall the world of cellars. And the right level of faint illumination contributes once again to define a dreamy atmosphere, a sort of tipsy haze, ‘Brylla’ – resembles the word you would use in Italian.
