"Condie" Wall Decoration, 8 colours, aluminium auto spray.
This wall mounted birds concept "Condie"by Kevin Callaghan comes in 8 colours, purple, white, black, aircraft blue, orange, yellow, green and grey. These colours are well though through in order to maximise optical vibrancy. "Condie" has a real sense of travel and movement the range of colours really bring any wall to life. The laser cut aluminium is folded by hand in my studio, sprayed with an etch primer and sprayed to the colour of your choose. The folds give a wonderful shade against the wall and a spot light would really set them off. These dynamic geometric birds work great with any colour combination and you can match them to any wall weather painted, brick of concrete. Because of the auto spray finish they can be wall mounted indoors or outdoors..
The wall mounted birds concept derives from a commission I produced at the Bluebird Restaurant in Chelsea, London when I studied my Masters at the Royal College of Art. I experiment with different material, I am now working a lot with aluminium folds. This work is produced in my sculpture studio, at The National Sculpture Factory. This is first of many wall based products from "Condie", with limited edition forms colours and materials.
