Office Building adjacent to The Westin Charlotte in downtown Charlotte. Charlotte / United States / 2017
The design of this office tower presents flexible, efficient floor plans while responding to the notches in the side of its neighbor, The Westin Charlotte. These setbacks in the façade feature moveable glass panels to allow, not just a door, but an entire wall to roll away, opening the office facilities to outdoor terraces. The top corner offers a special two-story glazed office “penthouse” space. The prominence of the site, with visibility from the freeway, makes it attractive to tenants desiring high-profile office space. With a light-rail stop incorporated as part of the project, the building promotes the use of mass transit. It is expected to receive a LEED Gold rating.
