Le Paper Dome est un objet architectural recouvert de papier. Le journal, symbole du quotidien et de la vie de Beirut, à la fois fragile et chargé de sens, est disposé en tuiles pour transformer en abri une structure bois de 10m de diamètre.
L’objet est soulevé et repose sur le sol en un point. Le visiteur curieux y pénètre alors, faisant l’expérience de l’espace, du calme et de l’ombre qu’il procure.
The Paper Dome is an architectural object covered with paper. The newspaper, symbol of day-to-day and life of Beirut, both fragile and meaningful, is tiled to turn into shelter a wooden 10m diameter structure.
The object is lifted up and is based on one point. The visitor penetrates it, enjoying the experience of space, calm and shadows provided by the Dome.
