Background of the Residents
The Homeowners of the project is a couple who engage in fashion design. They have a life-sized dummy and love to collect kinds of dolls and action figures. Therefore, how to store these collections is the most important issue in the case.

Original House Situation
The house is equipped with natural illumination and the user space is large enough.
Especially the entrance area is large enough to put in a model cabinet.
Advantage：
The square structure is good for layout, so we didn't change most of the partition walls. In addition, each room has windows which provide the natural illumination and keep well air circulation.
Disadvantage：
No specific disadvantage for renovation.

Clients' Attitude toward Life
The house owner loves to collect kinds of dolls and action figures, and he hopes to make them parts of his life and show them with friends and visitors.

Design Concept of this project
A "house in house" is the design concept of this project.
First, we put a display cabinet in the living room and extend the iron frames from the display cabinet. Except for the display function, the cabinet looks like a shop window and makes the hallway besides the dining room look like a street. The double-faced cabinet also provides more angles of perspective, thus satisfying the anticipation of the house owner and making the spacious common area more vivid and imaginative.

Concept of Interior Spatial Arrangement
Living room：
The sofa arrangement is not confined by the TV wall. People in the living room can change its position based on different demands.

Dining room：
The light green is the tone colore in dining area. The designers tore down part of the wall in storage room in order to create a round shape traffic line. Besides, the designers deliberately leave some traces of teardown to present the natural texture of the material.

Study room/ Studio：
The concept of "house in a house" is also applied to the studio.
The framework can be used not only as a shelf for fabrics used on work, but also be extended as frame of a desk and bookshelf. In addition, glass is adopted to be the wall beside the door of studio, and thereby creates an interesting corner and a transparent partition between the common area and the studio.

Master's bedroom：
The light green color is extended from the dining room to the bedroom, so are the framework. We make the framework the cloth shelves and use the hunting curtain to be the partition. Therefore, the overall space of the studio will not be reduced because of the cabinets.

Main materials used
Use a large number of iron pieces and connect them to be the framework of the little house by welding.

Natural Lighting and Overall Lighting Design
The superiority brought L-shape windows provide large area lighting. Assisted with artificial lighting sources, people in the house can enjoy distinct expressions of light in different time.
The designers use two different chandeliers to border different areas with different functions. Above the wooden dining table is a crystal chandelier, and above the kitchen island is a radial chandelier. That is, different lighting is conducive to separate different area and avoid repetitive spatial visual point adoption.
The room is well ventilated and brightened. Each side of the house has the daylighting. Except for the theme lightings, the designers also inlay the track light on the framework, providing various illuminations.

Color Configuration Design and Adoption of Soft Decorative Assembly
Since those figurines are colorful, white is thus adopted as the background color. Pink is adopted as the color in the display cabinet and the framework pass through the house in order to stand out those colorful collections and to present the lively atmosphere. Besides, light green is adopted in the dining area, walkway and the master’s bedroom.

Adoptions to Reduce the Expense
Most of the original walls are remained. Make the best use of the original layout.

Design Concept Description
The Homeowners of the project is a couple who engage in fashion design. The house owner loves Japanese comics and animation, and also collects so many comic books and figurines for many years. Therefore, he hopes to display his collections in the house so that he can share with his friends and visitors.

Since the original condition of the house is good enough, the designers didn’t change the layout. The designers start the design from the display cabinet in the living room and connect the iron pieces together to make the framework inside the house. As putting a large dollhouse in this house, we let the framework go through the walls, connecting the studio with the bedroom. The framework not only creates a street-like hallway but also mitigate the narrow feeling of the space imperceptibly.

The concept of the study room/ studio is the same as the common area. Besides, the frames become large hangers for the couple to hang their clothes and fabrics used on work, and extend as the parts of the shelves and desk at the corner of the studio.

In this "house in house", the definition of indoor and outdoor is no longer important. We make the dream in childhood come true: Going into a dreamed dollhouse like Alice in Wonderland.

"Honey, did you make the doll house bigger? Or, we shrank?"
