Riva Industria Mobili S.p.A. of Cantù, an Italian company selling its products under the registered trade mark of RIVA 1920, last year promoted the 3rd Design Award “Light up your idea” for the design of a stool or a bench, using cedarwood.
Over 1240 designers and architects participated in this competition from around the world.
The "Truciolo" stool comes from the idea that a material of the wood milling waste can become an object of design. The spiral form of Truciolo is designed to exalt the natural wood grain of the cedar wood. Is an object that changes shape from the point of view from which it is observed.
