Urban development increases its own limits pushing the natural environment far away from the core of the city.
The project Botanic Box, developed for the fifth edition of Lausanne Jardin, is based on this observation.
Botanic Box brings an answer to the dream of accessing a fragment of nature anywhere: at home, on a terrace or in a public space.
The “garden” proposed has been inserted into a container, an element hermetic to the surroundings, where its perception becomes amplified.
Botanic Box is a movable, transferable, migrant garden. A fragment of an ecosystem picked up from a place and transported to another with similar climatic characteristics.
