Bailas Contemporary Coiffure represents contemporary hairdressing in an exclusive home located at the Achenbachstraße in the district „zoo area“ in Düsseltal, one of the upmarket residential areas in Düsseldorf. Surrounded by the neighboring boroughs Flingern-Nord and Pempelfort with numerous galleries, trendy bars, cafes and varied gastronomy concepts, the Atelier Bailas extends the avant-garde luxury flair of Düsseldorf-Düsseltal since November 2015. Among these inspiring influences of the environment the atelier on the ground floor of a lavishly old building restored in 2012 is exactly the right place to find the necessary distance to everyday life. This is why every guest can enjoy the individualized luxury of Bailas Contemporary Coiffure in pleasant tranquility.

Compact 44 square meters are divided into different areas with diverse requirements for light, space and mood. In addition to the salon as a pure working area in the back of the room composed of the coloring desk as well as the styling- and washing-chair, the front part of the atelier provides space for a counselling and a retail area, for example the bespoken care products by Shu uemura.

Identity
Just as the corporate design the interior design concept of the atelier conveys the exclusive, creative and contemporary brand positioning. The existing logo as a tribute to the individual, sweeping hair inspired the tube guide for the implementation of the lighting concept. Furthermore the round, strong forms are found again in other interior and especially crafted elements like the table and the shelf or the light tracks as central elements of the lighting concept. Together they built a homogeneous self-composition for a dynamic space concept. The reduced color of the corporate design merge by the black and anthracite-colored elements with natural materials creates a warm, inviting atmosphere in the atelier. Rounded corners as well as the use of several small and large mirrors complete the mix of materials and enhance the modern, timeless design of the studio.

Light and mood concept
The exclusive service can be individually tailored to each guest with a special designed light setting. Therefore a dimmed light supports hiding the everyday life and enjoying the treatments while shampooing the guests’ hair in an exclusive washing chair with high-quality leather as well as a massage function. Whereas the clear working light ensures the optimal color mixing and a technically perfect cut. For breaks and exposure times, the guest has the opportunity to be inspired by an exclusive selection of international fashion and lifestyle magazines. All this is rounded off by the one on one care of the master hairdresser Apostolos Bailas: being completely alone with his client for the whole time of treatment, he can fully focus on the client’s desire, whereby the exclusiveness of Bailas hairdressing gets particularly apparent for his guest.

Retail
State-of-the-art hairdressing includes an individually tailored beauty and care concept, which is designed to ensure a lasting comfort for the customers between each of their visits to the hairdresser. This is important not least because the atelier is also the contact point for all who wants to buy the products of the exclusive high-end beauty brand Shu uemura of L'Oréal. From a modular system of chains, racks, pins and pedestals a dynamic retail concept has emerged to provide not even space for the products of the brand Shu uemura but also for contemporary fashion and accessories. The thus created concept store gives the studio an additional attraction and always offers its visitors new experiences.
