Between Heaven and the Höllental Valley

Just above the top station of the Alpspitzbahn lifts, two steel beams form a floating X over a vertical drop of almost 1,000 metres. No later than when the glazed end of the 25 metre long bridge is reached, incredulous “Wow’s” are elicited from the lips of even hardened mountaineers and climbers as they take in the unrestricted wide and deep views of the snow covered Zugspitz, Waxensteine, gigantic Alpspitz north face and down to the untamed Höllental Valley.

Thanks to the cable cars, this incredible experience is available to all and is often combined with easy walks. A walk along the Gipfel-Erlebnisweg – Summer Adventure Trail around the Osterfelderkopf is particularly suitable for families. The Genuss-Erlebnisweg – Pleasure Trail from the top station of the Alpspitzbahn lifts to the top station of the Kreuzeckbahn lifts can also be combined with spectacular views from the AlpspiX.
