Madame Nhu is a Vietnamese food takeaway kiosk inspired by the integration of the Saigon City and Vietnamese- French colonial villas, street landscape and fashion. The idea of the kiosk design is to create a sense of nostalgia for the 1950’s old era of Vietnam.

The shopfront is warmly decorated with a lavish and colourful tropical garden with over hung artificial plants such as bright bougainvillea, custom made bamboo pendant lighting and fairy lights. Typical aged yellow masonry walls, familiar domestic fittings such as the blue French window shutters and blue neon signage have been installed to conjure a market street backdrop commonly found in Vietnam. Concealed and diffused warm white LED lights have also been implemented at the front counter to highlight the besser blocks and enhance the Old Saigon charm.
