Il concept “benchground” nasce dalla scomposizione dei materiali fondanti la
produzione del cemento armato facendoli divenire elementi architettoni e di
design. Il cemento ed il ferro rappresentano i materiali di base e l'utilizzo di
tecnologie innovative per la lavorazione di questi materiali rende concreta la
formalizzazione di “benchground”.
Il monolite in cemento che è anche la seduta nasce utilizzando una cassaforma
realizzata da modello a controllo numerico per garantire una geometria perfetta
delle superfici di contorno, mentre la solida base in metallo portabici è verniciata
e garantisce la sua stabilità. Il “pin” in acciaio rappresenta l'elemento di unione tra
la seduta e la base mentre il metallo dello schienale diviene l'elemento distintivo
del progetto. Infatti, sfruttando la tecnologia del taglio laser è bossibile riprodurre
qualsiasi tipo di immagine. Panorami, volti, architettura, arte, forme astratte; non
c'è limite all' immaginazione ed così che “benchground” può assumere qualsiasi
tematica ha seconda della connotazione urbana nella quale è ubicata. Lo
schienale è intercambiabile e fissato meccanicamente alla seduta consente a
“benchground” di poter assumere nel tempo nuove immagini per dialogare al
meglio con l'ambiente urbano e pubblico circostante e in evoluzione. Tutte le

The concept "benchground" comes from the decomposition of materials founding the production of reinforced concrete and causing them to become elements of architectural design. The cement and iron represent the base materials and the use of innovative technologies for themachining of these materials makes concrete the formalization of "benchground".
