There are times in which the decor of historical buildings can be overwhelming for our contemporary aesthetic. Such was the case with this brownstone townhouse before we began the design of the interior. With light colors and simple furnishings, the very elaborate patterns of the original millwork became the highlighted focus and truly look magnifiscent. It became a very comfortable house for the family who now lives there bridging an old house into the present.
