Temporary Housing | Yetuplanus Yetuplanus

This is a project of a Temporary Social Housing  for Angola.
The crossed economic recession phase currently involves a significant reduction in the exchange of goods by sea and consequently the accumulation of containers in the ports of importing countries, and Angola is no exception to the rule. Angola is a country that is going to a process of eviction of families wich some of them stay in bad condicions while waiting for the social houses to be constructed.
Therefore, we proposed the use of shipping containers for Temporary Social housing. One of the advantage os this sistem is that the houses can be thansported and serve other families in other places.

We choose to address the various types of dwellings using only two modules; one social and the other private. Thus, it was necessary two containers of 20 feet for the social area and another two of 20 feet for the private area, so, we used four containers of 20 feet for each house.

Based on these two modules it was possible to solve collective housing in height and townhouses  in the case of an area with high population density and with common courtyards for socializing; and detached or semi-detached houses for low density housing, which respond to individual allotments allowing each house to enjoy a private backyard.

The misaligned containers created a dynamic facade and arouses interest . In the case of types with more than one floor this organization allowed the creation of terraces with gardens and possible integration of nature in the projects , providing more quality of life for the families.
