First step of this project is the analysis of the Trentino waste management, in order to understand how garbage is collected and transported to the disposal centers.
The project area is called “Ischia Podetti”, it has worked as disposal center for garbage since 1980 and today storage areas are saturated.
The project aims at inserting a gasification center where garbage can be eliminated thanks to low temperature burning. This system produces significantly more energy than an incinerator, and is also less polluting.
A research center will be built to ensure technological innovation in garbage recycling and disposal. Near this construction there will be a museum to inform people about pollution problems, costs, and possible solutions to improve the current situation.
