Densification as challenge in city centres? The day-care center „Wolke 10“, located in a high density area in the south of nuremberg, demonstrates how a uncommon place can be used. 16.70 meters above the street, on the unused upper deck of a parking structure, the highest day-care center of germany with a beautiful view to the castle was created.
It was necessary to dismantle about 700 tonnes of structure to get weight reserves.
The staggered wooden Fassade is divided into four pieces. The large panoramic windows face north to the quiet garden area.
Bright and open indoors, spacious outdoor. A unique, green oasis for children on the upper deck of parking structure.
