Perfect World Offices | Area-17 Architecture & Interiors

Area-17 designed two office buildings for Perfect World, one of the most important Chinese online gaming developers. The 3000 square-meter project combines high-tech solutions, traditional materials, and unconventional geometries in order to create a warm environment with contemporary flair. A neutral and austere container for creativity on the outside, Perfect World’s workplace reveals its magic once you get inside. Warm and shiny surfaces, wavy lines alternated with harsh volumes, bright screens and light falls take the visitor to a parallel dimension, as if they have entered one of the virtual worlds developed by the company. Different colors and spatial configurations define functionalities of this elegant environment, which manages to be highly innovative while firmly rooted in the traditional Chinese aesthetic.
