Striping the walls and finding the inner truth of the 182 square meters asset located near the harbor of Ashdod. This was the primer goal of Hili Lazarov and Roei Kadranel owners of Other:wise studio.
The concept of the ‘Pavela’ design was a combination between the rough appearance of a sailboats workshop and having lunch on a Mediterranean coast. The work began peeling and breaking down the inner walls, creating a brutal appearance facing the sea. Metal hooks for which are hanging cooking accessories surrounding the bar ceiling creating a visual extension of kitchen covered with blue and white ceramic tiles. Black steel railings are separating the bar and the elevated eating zone furnished with white lacquered tables and upholstered chairs.
Wood beams are crossing the room ceiling and the strong décor motif is of ceramic painted plates hanging on the restaurant room. Eclectic is another strong decision the designers took creating a mix of upholstered high sitting chairs. A touch of humor to spice up the lunch was created with two old refrigerators recycled as original cupboard and old barrels were specially designed as bar tables.
