Tuscan Tradition revisited | Archidomus

Archidomus Atelier  recently restored 300 square-metre of this historical home – country house – in a small town immersed in the Tuscany countryside, by bringing in a successful play of contrasts between tradition and a more contemporary touch.

For the renovation of this historic building the architects from Archidomus Atelier, Monica Rossi and Claudio Cencetti, have used fine materials to give to the villa a charming and simultaneously contemporary expression.

The residential space is characterized with glass surfaces, colored surfaces and natural wood (the original sturdy oak beams were kept) which leads to a truly luminous and balanced result.

The solidity of the used materials, the spirit of time past that can be felt in the premises and the simple elegance of the more modern additions composes a very inviting and stylish space to inhabit.
